What’sthat? 那是什么？A vancame to the house. “van”就是面包车，或者有盖小货车的意思。Was it the new house? 这是新房子吗？不是。是老房子，爸爸一手夹着箱子，一手跟司机打招呼呢。Where was mum? 妈妈在楼上忙着收窗帘呢。

小朋友，你看到窗帘后边的邻居阿姨了吗？what did she look at? 她在看什么呢。估计啊，她在看，是什么车那么大，把我们家的阳光都挡住了。“What abig van!” said Chip. Chip 看到这么大的车，忍不住张开双臂比划起来。这时，搬家工人下车走了下来，这人比他开的货车还高。Kipper 看着他像看着一个巨人一样。“What abig man!” said Kipper. 把“what”放在一个名字词组前边，“what a big man”或“what abig van”就组成了一个感叹句。

这时候，房子前边已经堆满了东西。大个子叔叔摸着他的光脑门，what did he look at? 他在看什么呢。The man looked at the things. “the things”就是这些东西的意思。“What alot of things!” he said. “a lot of ”就是很多很多的意思，看来大个子叔叔是被吓到了吧。

这么多的东西，赶紧搬吧。大家一起来帮忙。Mum and dadhelped the man. 妈妈托着阳伞重重的底座，累的满头大汗。爸爸呢，他倒是轻松，一手提着轻飘飘的伞尖，一手抱着个小茶壶。They putthings in the van. “put in” 就是把东西放到什么里边的意思。这里边谁干活最卖力啊，当然是大个子叔叔了，他一个人就抬起了一整张沙发。“What ajob!” saiddad. 爸爸由衷的感叹，这工作真不容易。Did floppy help？帮了呀，你瞧它躺在沙发上，帮倒忙呢。
